Which part of the nervous system takes the information received from the senses, makes sense out of it, makes decisions, and sends commands out to the muscles and the rest of the body?

    Well that is the definition of what an independent neuron does. message taken up by the dendrites, the neuron interprets and where is needs to go and the axon sends the message to the next neuron.
