C: Both are light microscopes, but the compound light microscope has a higher magnification than the dissecting microscope.

    Explanation:

The Dissecting microscope is a light microscope and so is the compound light microscope. The Dissecting Microscope can zoom up to 40 times the size of the organism while the compound light microscope can zoom up to 400 times the size and sometimes 1000 times the size of the organism
