While performing an experiment at home, Emma adds lemon juice to a soap solution. How will this affect the pH of the soap solution?

    The pH scale goes from 0-14 (0-6.9 = acids and 7.1-8.0 = base and 7.0 = neutral)

    Soap is a base and lemon juice is an acid.

    If you add a number below 7 (an acid - lemon juice) to a number above 7 (a base - soap) then the pH will begin high and decrease.
