Explain the following statement: "Generally speaking, the faster a eukaryotic cell needs to regulate gene expression, the more downstream from transcription that regulation will occur."

    Among eukaryotic cells, there are two processes which comprise protein synthesis from DNA which are transcription and translation. In this statement, this simply states that because of gene regulation, meaning the control of protein outcome results to decrease activity of transcription.
