    The bacterial cytoskeleton is a three-dimensional lattice that contains proteins that provide internal support in eukaryotic cells, organizes the internal structures of cell division. In eukaryotes it has actin filaments, intermediates, microtubules and septins, in prokaryotes it has structural proteins FtsZ and MreB. maintains the shape of the cell, and facilitates cell mobility.
