    Explanation:

    The tress while leaving provide many useful materials to organisms abut after its death is also a good source of material to organism.

    After the death of the tree, the decay of the plant becomes sourced nutrition to the decomposers and if dead and decayed tree matter gets buried for millions of years gets turned into the fossil fuels like coal.

    The tree is also present in the animal waste in the form of hay, wood shavings, straw and other debris.

    Thus, option-D is the correct answer.
