    continuous spectrum

    Explanation:

The continuous spectrum, also called thermal or blackbody, is emitted by any object that radiates heat (that is, having a temperature other than absolute zero = - 273 degrees Celsius). When its light is scattered, a continuous band appears with some radiation at all wavelengths. For example, when sunlight passes through a prism, its light is scattered in the seven colors of the rainbow (where each color is a different wavelength).
