How does the abnormal shape of a sickled red blood cell affects its movement through blood vessels

    Sickled red blood cells aren't flexible and will stick to vessel walls. this causes the blood flow to be blocked or slowed down. oxygen won't be able to reach different parts of the body when the blood can't flow well.
