    colony

Explanation: In a culture media bacterial reproduce to form cells called colony.

A culture is a media used in growing a population of bacteria. It could either be solid, liquid or semi solid.

A solid and semi solid media contains Agar (a solidifying Agent) that provides a platform for the bacteria.

The media contains nutrients source that supply the required nutrient needed for the bacteria growth this include extracts of protein, inorganic salt, carbohydrate and vitamins. If a bacteria medium is left for too long it could lead to the death of all the bacteria due to nutrients used up from the media.

Culture should be done in a disease free environment to avoid contamination.
