Wash the wound with soap and water. Administer vaccination. If the patient who bit the nurse had furious rabies, the patient was excited and hyperactive. The patient will die in a few days. Human to human transmission through bites is potentially possible, but has never been confirmed, according to the World Health Organization. Still, rabies causes death, so wash the nurse's wound thoroughly for 15 minutes with soap, water, detergent and iodine, administer rabies vaccine and administer immunoglobulin against rabies.
