The answer would be: b. midpiece

Mitochondrial is an organelle that has a role in energy production. Part of the spermatozoa that need most energy would be its tail that has to constantly move. The movement of the tail mostly done in the midpiece where the mitochondrial present.

The head and acrosome should not have any, that is why the fertilized egg doesn't have mitochondrial from the sperm.
