Vermi composting is a system of dry toilet which manages aerobic decomposition of human waste with the aid of earthworms.

    Explanation:

This system is commonly found in the land locked areas, the management of faeces and other human wastes do not require flushing system with water. There are a lot of benefits of this system. Some of these include: The conservation of water is well addressed as voluminous water supply is not needed. Secondly, all the decomposition system are purely organic. The addition of sawdust to enhance aerobic and catabolic reaction all produce even a source of fertilizer for farming. The addition of earthworms is also important to increase the population of the soil preserving organisms, the earthworms. In comparison to the chemical treatment, though the odour control in chemical treatment is managed, however, the chemicals used are not eco-friendly, they leaves a bye product that destroys the useful organisms in the soil. These chemical also seeps into underground waterbodies leading to great water pollution leading to death of aquatic lives and other organisms that depend on water like human.
