Coccidioidomycosis (also called Valley fever) is a disease caused by the fungus Coccidioides immitis or Coccidioides posadasii. It is contracted by inhaling fungal spores. Coccidioidomycosis is not a communicable disease. Symptoms of coccidioidomycosis include fever, chest pain, muscle aches and coughing. Medications used to treat valley fever are fluconazole (Diflucan) and itraconazole (Sporanox). For the question given above, Diflucan and Sporanox are beneficial for the client.
