Which of these cells is (are) haploid? The process of meiosis. Initially, chromosomes are scattered all over the cell. This stage is labeled A. During interphase, they become replicated and arranged in pairs of homologous chromosomes. This stage is labeled B. During meiosis 1, the cell divides into 2 and each cell has 1 chromosome.
