Reproduction is the process of making copies.
In an office, the photocopy machine reproduces documents.
In nature, people, plants, and animals reproduce themselves,
and their species continue on Earth when they die.

Reproduction is making something new based on something that already exists. (Re) which means again and (production) which is the creation so in simpler words it is a recreation.
Cells divide during mitosis and recreate copies of themselves. Living organisms use different methods to reproduce. They categories areasexual and sexual which is seen in plants and mammals.
Or you could just be copying and pasting which is still the re production or copy of something that is already there.
