Suppose you isolate mitochondria from cells and maintain them in a buffer solution that mimics the cytoplasm. if you are maintaining them in a tube or chamber that you have deprived of o2, they'll stop making atp. what could you do to the composition of the buffer solution in order to get the mitochondria to resume production of atp?

    The thing you need to do to the composition of the buffer solution in order to get the mitochondria to resume production of ATP is to lower the pH of the solution, creating a proton gradient and Ap that will drive the ATP synthase.     I would assume you need to increase the amount of water within the buffer solution in order to provide the oxygen that is necessary to reproduce.
