What two scientists are given credit for discovering the structure of dna?

    James Watson and Francis Crick Watson and Crick published a scientific paper in April 1953 detailing the structure of DNA. In 1962, they shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Maurice Wilkins for that discovery. The April 1953 paper has the rather famous understatement "This structure has novel features which are of considerable biological interest" in it.
