    Its likely that some of the species will die out. The percentage of the species that is considered stronger or "more fit" will be able to adapt to the sudden changes and continue reproducing.

    The result of a drastic change in the environment to a species with no variation would most likely be extinction since their is no variation and none of them would have a better chance of surviving or reproducing.
