Blood flow through the heart is very specific. The oxygenated blood gets an entry into the left atrium which then passes to the left ventricle through bicuspid valve.

The oxygenated blood goes to the tissues and organs through aorta and arteries. The deoxygenated blood from the tissues gains access in the right atrium or auricle of the heart which then passes to the right ventricle through tricuspid valve.

Lungs receives the deoxygenated blood through pulmonary artery for the purification of blood. Left atrium ultimately recives the purified blood from lungs through pulmonary vein (the only vein to carry oxygenated blood).
