Because the ping pong ball has a lesser mass than a baseball; hence the ping pong ball will accelerate faster than the baseball when a constant force is applied to both

    Explanation:

The force applied to an object is a product of its mass and acceleration i. e. F=ma. According to Newton's second law of motion, the relationship between the mass of an object and its acceleration when force is applied to it was described.

In a summary, the second law states that that the acceleration of an object increases with increased force and decreases with increased mass. This means that the more the mass of an object, the greater the force needed to make it accelerate and also the more the mass, the lesser it accelerates.

In this case, a ping pong ball has a lesser mass compared to a baseball, hence, it will accelerate faster than the baseball assuming an equal force was applied. Since the ping pong ball will accelerate faster, it will hit a person faster than the baseball.
