Why dont humans scuba dive to the bottom of the subduction zone trenches?

    A subduction zone is a big mess. The boundaries of the subduction zone mark the collision between two of the planet's tectonic plates. The plates are pieces of crust that slowly move across the planet's surface over millions of years. This causes the minerals to be denser and don't contain bonded water.
