    If these are the choices:

    A. No other biomolecules are present

    B. Protein

    C. Lipid

    D. Carbohydrate

    My answer is D. Carbohydrate.

A nucleotide has three parts. These parts are 1) nucleobase aka nitrogenous base, 2) a five-carbon sugar or pentose sugar (either ribose or 2-deoxyribose), and 3) one or more phosphate groups.

    D. Carbohydrate is under the 2) pentose sugar part of the nucleotide.
