A lichen is actually composed of two organisms: a fungi and a blue-green algae. Both organisms benefit from this relationship. What would we call this relationship?

    A symbiotic relationship. When both organisms benefit it is called a mutualistic relationship.

    Symbiosis - mutualism as both benefit from this relationship. Fungi gets food from algae, algae gets protection from fungi.
