How do the circulatory and respiratory systems work together for gas exchange?

    Simply put, the respiratory system provides oxygen and other necessary gases for cellular respiration and other cellular processes that take place in the circulatory system and beyond, the circulatory system then passes the wasted created by these processes back to the respiratory system which then expels them from the body.
