    1. the answer is O. It is the top layer of a soil profile with roots, fungi small insects etc.

    2. The answer is A. In fact the correct answer should be upper part of A horizon, because the lower part contains much less amount of organic matter, but it suffers maximum leaching.

    3. True; The B horizon is actually a zone of the deposition of leached material from A horizon and contains fine clay or silt. therefore it is difficult for any organism to penetrate it.
