Hypothesize why parts of a plant, such as the leaves, are green, but other parts, such as the roots, are not. Use scientific reasoning to support your hypothesis.

    Leaves have chlorophyll to turn sunlight into energy, the chlorophyll makes them green. Because roots are in the ground and do not receive direct sun they have no need to contain chlorophyll and therefore are not green

    Basically it’s because the root (the tree bark part) (tree) travels the nutrients from the sun (ext.) and brings them to the leaves to "feed them" so the leaves are the green bc there the ones receiving nutrients
