There are many significant developments and measurable differences, which are observed in between a fetal and an adult skull.

    Explanation:

The size of the infant's cranium is relatively smaller as compared to the cranium of adult. The skull of adult is about 1/8th of total length of the body, but the skull of infant is about 1/4th of total body length. In fetal skull, ossification centers are observed along with open fontanel which fully becomes closed and bony in adult. The fetal head looks much larger as compared to the body while in adult the head is in better size and shape, when proportionately compared to the whole body.
