Many genetic diseases result from the production of enzymes that are not shaped correctly. how does changing in an enzyme shape cause it to work poorly or not at all?

    Because all enzymes are specific in nature therefore the must fit to their specific substrates so if the shape is changed it might not fit perfectly to it's substrate.
