    Protists are eukaryotic organisms that cant be classified as a plant, animal, or fungus. They're mostly unicellular, but some examples like algae are multicellular Kelp or seaweed is a large multicellular protist that provides food, shelter, and oxygen for numerous underwater ecosystems. Hence a grasshopper isn't any of theses really and they're in kingdom animalia so genetically thats about as far away from protista as you can get out of this list
