Ozone depletion greatly affects the hydrosphere. When ozone depletion occurs, thereis a 6 to 12%reduction in the marginal ice zone. This means that ice caps melt, and all of the polar bears drown. Also, solar UVB radiation has been found to cause damage to early developmental stages of fish, shrimp, crab, and plankton.
