Which is one of the most important differences between prokaryotes and eukaryotes?

    The most important difference is that a procaryote lacks a nucleus, when a eukaryotes does. Prokaryotes are, typically, bacteria and eukaryotes are found in more complex organisms. Of course, this would not only include the nucleus, but other organelles such as the mitochondria and the chloroplasts would be absent in prokaryotes.
