From Earth's atmosphere, where can the carbon atom go next?

    Carbon atoms go from the Earth's atmosphere to the hydrosphere, a layer of water near the Earth's surface. When carbon reaches the hydrosphere, the greenhouse effect increases which changes the temperature of water and in turn makes thriving for organism difficult.
