    speed of cart and bag is 2.035 m/s

    Explanation:

    given data

    mass m1 = 8.6 kg

    mass m2 = 17.6 kg

    speed u1 = 6.2 m/s

    to find out

    What is the final speed of the cart and bag

    solution

    we will use here conservation law of momentum that is express here as

    m1u1 + m2u2 = (m1 + m2) V ... 1

    here u1 is initial speed and u2 is final spped when at rest i. e 0 and m1 and m2 is mass and V is speed of cart and bag

    put here value we get

    8.6 * 6.2 + 17.6 * 0 = (8.6 + 17.6) V

    solve it we get V

    V = 2.035 m/s
