Suppose you are the economic policy adviser to the president and are asked what should be done to eliminate a federal deficit. What would you recommend?

It is important to note that so many factors could lead to such deficit at the federal level and to resolve this it is either there is an increase in tax payment by the payee or there should be scrutiny in expenses by government in order to reduce it to the barest minimum to negate such deficit.
