You are having a lunch meeting with a loyal and very good customer. Over lunch you happen to mention that your application to an exclusive golf club was denied for the second time. Your customer responds, "Hey, why didn't you tell me? My family has been members there for 40 years, let me make a phone call, I'm sure we can get it worked out." Let me make a phone call, I'm sure we can get it worked out.

    Explanation:

The call being made by the customer has nothing to do with our existing business relations, as a matter of fact, the customer seems to be giving me a favor by making a call and getting the work done which is a concern for me because there is a possibility that in the future the customer might use this situation as a bargaining chip and/or ask for a favor in return or special treatment. Even though he has been my loyal customer but in business environments Favors can highly influence parties involved.
