The answer is making a profit for the public purpose. The US Constitution was translated by the US Supreme Court to enable organizations to consolidate in their preferred condition, paying little respect to where their central command is. Over the twentieth century, most real companies fused under the Delaware General Corporation Law, which offered bring down corporate expenses, fewer investor rights against Chiefs, and built up a specific court and lawful calling. Nevada has done likewise. Twenty-four states take after the Model Business Corporation Act.
