    False. The success of mass production made mass consumption less important than ever. Mass production is continuous production of large amounts of standard products. Manufacturers produce large amounts of product in batch quantities and then send it out to distributors. Mass consumption is the act of consuming something in a mass quantity. When an item is mass produced, it is less important with mass consumption because the items are so readily available.

    False. Mass production increased the supply of goods hence reduced costs, therefore, boosting the consumption. Before mass consumption manufactures produced goods by order. This idea from Henery Ford and others like him began early in 20th century and its still being used to date.
