    The Anomie theory describes a disconnection between socially acceptable goals and the means within american society, it is a state of social disorganization or isolation of the individual as a consequence of the lack or inconsistency of social norms. For psychology and sociology, anomie is a state that arises when social rules have been degraded or directly eliminated and are no longer respected by members of a community
