Whose interests should have the most influence on decisions at successful firms?

I feel the interest of the client who came to the firm should have the most influence on on the decision of the case the firm has taken. If the entrance is not dealing with the client in is just around the firm itself I feel the head person in charge should have the most influence on the decisions only one not dealing with a client
