    Rules 3, 4, 5, and 6 are all used in the above statement

    I don't think Rule 1 is applied bc it involves receiving criticism, not giving it, which is what the speaker is doing in this scenario, and I can't definitively say whether Rule 2 is being followed, because the excerpt does not give any indication or context clues that would tell us this
