    At STP, 22.4 L = 1 mole gas

    8.50L x 1 mol / 22.4L = 0.380 moles I2

    Mole ratio (coefficients) between

    Cl2 and I2 is 1:1, so moles I2 = moles Cl2

    0.380 moles Cl2 x 70.9g/mol = 27.0g

so. 27grams of moles are produced
