If 2.96 g of methane gas (CH4) is introduced into an evacuated 2.20 L container at 40.°C, what is the pressure in the container?

    PV = nRT

    n = m * 1/mm = 2.96g * 1moles/16g

    n = 0.185 moles

    P = nRT/V

    P = (.185) (.0821) (313) / (2.2)

    P = 4.754/2.2 = 2.161 atm
