    Distance traveled N/S:

    (80 m north) + (20 m south) + (60 m south)

    (80 m) + (-20 m) + (-60 m)

    0 m north/south

    Distance traveled E/W:

    (15 m east) + (35 m west)

    (15 m) + (-35 m)

    -20 m

    20 m west

    Resultant distance:

    a² + b² = c²

    a = 0 m north/south

    b = 20 m west

    c² = (0 m) ² + (20 m) ²

    c² = (20 m) ²

    c = 20 m

    Overall displacement = 20 m
