When the chemical reaction reverses the sign that the enthalpy of reaction is carrying also reverses.

    Explanation:

When a chemical reaction takes place there is a certain amount of heat absorbed or released during the reaction. This changes in net heat that is being released or being absorbed is known as enthalpy.

When the reaction just becomes opposite the sign of the enthalpy also changes. That is when the chemical reaction is reversed the heat that was being absorbed would be released. Since there is a change in absorption or release of heat so that is what the sign if the enthalpy would show.

If a reaction is reversed then the enthalphy is exactly the same value but times (-1).
