    Mass/Volume = Density

    1. 35.71 g/3.9 mL = 9.156410256 g/mL

    2. 39.04 g/4.5 mL = 8.675555556 g/mL

    3. 40.81 g/4.5 mL = 9.068888889 g/mL

    Average the densities

    (9.156410256 g/mL + 8.675555556 g/mL + 9.068888889 g/mL) / 3 = 8.966951567 g/mL = 9.0 g/mL
