The formula of acetamide is C2H5NO

It contains 2 atoms of carbon

The atomic mass of carbon is 12; therefore 2 atoms of carbon contains 24 g

The mass of 1 mole of acetamide is 59.07 g/mol

Therefore; the percentage of carbon in asetamide will be'

    =24/59.07 * 100

    = 40.63 %
