Compare the shape and volume of solids, liquids and gases.

    Solids have both fixed volumes and fixed shapes.

    Liquids have fixed volumes, but their shapes depend upon the containers in which they are held.

    Gases have neither fixed volumes nor fixed shapes, and expand to fill their containers.
