A classmate states, "All compounds containing H atoms are acids, and all compounds containing OH groups are bases" Do you agree or disagree? Give examples.

    Methane CH4 contains hydrogen but is not and acid.

    All compounds containing OH groups are not bases:

    An example is B (OH) 3 which is acidic - it is called boric acid.
