    Workdone (W) = Force (Newton[N]) x displacement (metres ([m])

    Weight of box = mg = 34Newton

    mass of weight = 34/9.81 = 3.4658m

    Now Workdone = Force x displacement

    but Force = mg

    Hence, Workdone = mg x displacement

    Workdone = 3.4658 x 9.81 x 2 = 68Nm = 68Joules (J)

    Explanation:

    Whenever a load is moved up an height, gravity always acts against it. This accounts for the need to know the actual mass of the box.
