Find the volume of 0.100 M hydrochloric acid necessary to react completely with 1.51 g Al (OH) 3.

    3HCl + Al (OH) 3 = AlCl3 + 3H2O

    We calculate as follows:

    1.51 g Al (OH) 3 (1 mol / 78.01 g) (3 mol HCl / 1 mol Al (OH) 3) (1 L / 0.100 mol HCl) = 0.581 L of 0.100 M HCl solution is needed
